Component Rules

Overview

Component Rules allows you to run, modify, or manage rules in selected Inventor components. You can enter a list of comma-separated rule names (or check all rules), choose a command, and select the components to process. The command is then executed on the specified rules in each selected component.

Available commands include: Run, Delete, Rename, Suppress, Unsuppress, Log Exists, and Log Not Exists. Component selection is filtered based on dialog box input as described in Filtered Select.

How It Works

  1. Enter rule names or select all rules.
  2. Choose the desired command to run on the rules.
  3. Select the components to process.
  4. Run the command to apply the action to each rule in the selected components.

  1. Open the target assembly or part.
  2. Click the Component Rules button in the Configure panel.
  3. Fill in the dialog box: enter rule names, select command, and choose components.
